I'm a photographer now

Heh…I owe you all an explanation, don’t I? :(

I have good reasons….
BUTTT excellent news, I have photoshop and now illustrator. I can begin making illustrator tutorials very soon :) I want to use some things from my web design class and incorporate them into the next layout, so that’s why I’m always slacking. I’m waiting til this dang assignment is over so I can take what I learned and apply it. This isn’t like math where they teach us how to find degrees or whatever the hell triangles are made of and then you forget everything because you watched an episode of american idol and simon made you cry.

Things in my life are right where I want them to be, for the first time ever. I don’t know how this is turning out for me but I’m kinda surprised. Waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come outta the freezer and be like PUNKDDDDD!!!!!!

My friend who is getting married entrusted me as her photographer, and I am SOOOO glad because I really needed to start on my portfolio, and this is just a wonderful stepping stone. I will be posting the pictures soon if you’d all like to see them. We took pre-wedding pictures yesterday and they came out amazing!! I was hoping to get an SLR, but my school does not rent them out so the next best thing was the canon g9. I was nervous using that camera because I’ve seen how well the SLR’s are, and well, still cameras I was not so sure of…but with the power of photoshop and my great photo editing skillz I was able to come up with an amazing outcome, and she loved it :) The canon g9 is an amazing little camera. I think I’m considering buying it sooner or later. It’s purely amazing..

I’ll be doing photographs for the actual wedding day aswell as the video for it. It’s a lot of work but I’m excited about it. This is what I love to do.
I love to design, but of course designing comes later on in my life. Every other day some 17 yr old gets married in this city – that’s money in the BANKKK if I can dominate the whole ‘design/photography/video’ field for weddings. I have to start somewhere, right?

    Sometimes I just wish I could press “do perfectly” on a computer somewhere and get all the prep work done on everything – like the next two years and just go to the uni I want to.
    Congratulations on getting the job, I love it when photos go the right way. Can’t wait to see um!

  5. I’m so happy for you! you’re really lucky that things are exactly where you want them…I just hope I’ll be able to use my artsy hobbies later on in life to do what I like but right now it seems I’m headed towards a more academic career… :P

  6. I am also taking a class at school for photography and photoshop but feel i cant take a good pic. You should post the ones of like the cake and such ( the people too i guess if there okay with it.)

    I read about your teacher and creativity rant. You seem very talented and i agree about “who judges creativty”.

    I cannot wait for the illustrator tutorials to come up. I recently downloaded it and its pretty amazing. Still trying to work it out though. ;)

    Anyways congratz on the amazing outcomes of the photo’s.. My dad’s going overseas and he’s bringing me back a SLR xD
    So excited! :D

    And I can’t wait for the Illustator tutorials… I’ve always had Illustator, but never used it so they will probably help.
    Untill now I have been using PS only, so I might need to expand my software usage and try out Illustrator more.
