Why must it snow so much?09 Feb

Music: Song Of Storms Yeah I LIKE THIS SONG don’t h8~ and I like eponas song too. woooo!

If you follow me on twitter, you probably already know that my life sucks. Yesterday it was bearable weather, with most of the snow melted and the sun shining. It felt like spring. Great feeling. Until this morning that I wake up inside a snowglobe that looks like it’s been shaken by a band of wild monkeys. Let me demonstrate for you:

YESTERDAY: (a bit exaggerated BUT IT KINDA LOOKED LIKE THIS…okay no damnit but just go with the example will ya!)

TODAY

I MEAN REALLY. WHY MUST IT SNOW??? I don’t understand why the Earth can’t tilt a couple of inches so France could share the pain or something. Michigan suffers alone.

They’re saying we’re supposed to get 6-10 inches today. DAMNIT.
I woke up to see outside covered in frost and the roads looked pretty bad, but college is college so I got up and drove anyway. Really slowly, mind you. The speed limit decreases by 100 when it snows so horribly like this. You might as well reverse because -10 is not safe enough. The highway felt like a side street as people were going 10 MPH. You could put your baby in a stroller and race a hummer if you wanted and you’d probably win.

People in other places that LOVE the snow obviously have never had to drive in it before. Okay launching a snowball in someones face is one thing, but trying to navigate in a 500 some pound bumper car while going 40 MPH is another.

I made it to school alright, but it’s supposed to be snowing even more and I’m afraid when I exit class at 7 it will be even worse. Driving in this weather IN THE DARKIN DETROIT – double whammy. Might as well write my will. I’ll do it in photoshop, HAHAHAHAAA. My will will be designed in photoshop with cute little watercolor brushes and maybe I’ll use univers as the header or ummm cooper black…who knows.

  1. I´m following you at twitter (I’m the one with the Wacom Bamboo XD) But, yeah, snow is fun, but it isn’t when you have to go to school or work. 5 weeks ago it began to snow here in Holland. (yep, I live in Holland) The country where it never snows. And then, there was snow. I found it much fun, and we had snow free that day. The next day was the same story. And, 5 weeks later, now, the snow is melting (finally). And what said the weatherman? ‘Wednesday there is coming new snow.’
And I can tell you that’s annoying.
But, allright. Snow is annoying. Can’t wait for spring to come!

  2. I feel your pain. We’ve just been getting snow, snow, snow. I follow certain people on youtube who live in California and Nevada and they be complaining about 55-65 degree weather. Like really? “Oh it’s freezing!” COME TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY, AND LEARN WHAT FREEZING REALLY IS. I’d die to be over there right now :( Hurry up, Spring.

    Oh and. Cooper Black. ;)

  4. Yeah snow is such a novelty in the south west of england but after a couple of days with about 6 inches everyone was definitely over it! Driving in snow – definitely not fun, especially when you’re not used to it at all. I find it quite funny how when it snows in england, it’s literally a crisis or something and the country grinds to a stop, whereas everywhere else just seems to deal with it!! I mean, by 2010 you think the government would be prepared!? Really like the new brushes btw :)

  5. I agree. I used to love the snow when I was little but now that I’m older, I hate it. Over the weekend we got like 2 feet of snow and now we’re about to get another 12 inches tonight/ tomorrow. I live on campus, so I don’t have to drive to school, but I’m hoping classes are cancelled! Only good thing about snow anymore…

  9. JESUS, the snow sucks.

But, over here in Maryland (OMG VIRGINIA GOT HIT SOOO BADD). We had like 24-28 inches Sunday, and tonight it started snowing AGAIN. So, we’re gonna get another 8-10 inches, and it’s like “COME ON JESUS CUT US SOME SLACK YOU WAIT FIFTEEN YEARS AFTER A BLIZZURD LIKE THIS COMES AGAIN AND U WAITED UNTIL I GOTTA GO TO KMART IN ALL THAT SHIZZ?”

    Yup.
    And I ain’t gotta car.
    So I gotta walk.
And the shopping center is like a mile and a half to two away and it’s like UGGHHH.

    Haha,
but I hope you have some fun in the snow.
    It’s cold, it’s deep…but it’s fun.
