Ramadan Nights

posted August 06

Ramadan has really been hard on me. I’m about 103 pounds and I’m not exactly the best example of good health at the moment. Actually the only close example I can give myself is that guy from sesame street who lives in the garbage can. That sounds kind of nice right now.

BUT! I’ve tried to turn Ramadan into a better experience by using photography and my nerdy art skills. A few days ago I went my friend Hamed’s house after iftar (iftar is an arabic word that describes the dinner where you break your fast) and he asked to see my camera. So after we got it from my house, we went walking back to his. I decided to just bust out my camera mid-walk and take some photos at night just to test my settings. We ended up taking some random photos of anything ‘creepy’. Naturally anything that appears at 11 PM automatically makes itself creepy, but I was able to find other things and make them creepy. Like randomly hiding behind cars, HAHAHA.

Now you all can see how ugly my city is :D yay!
Let me know which photo is the creepiest. Mwuahahaaa. All shots were taken with a Canon 5D and my 50 MM 1.4 lens, edited a tiny bit in photoshop because I’m a coloring freak. ADJUSTMENT LAYERS!!!!

Guess who’s gonna post lots of photo blogs?! :) Thank you Sumaiya :) :)

Here are some photos I took of my baby cousins. I love them with all my heart <3 They’re so hilarious too, as you can tell. I took these with my 5D and edited them with coloring I made myself :)

Disneyland Adventure!

posted July 22

As promised, a picture blog of my trip to California! Just so you know, I used to make fun of the Disneyland commercials. Until I went there. IT IS FREAKINAWESOME!

:)

I am the kind of person who will take 50 photos of the sky while on the airport. You better hope I don’t get the window seat for an overnight flight.

I hate you spiders

posted June 04

Just imagine you’re having a nice day in the forest temple and you enter a room without having to battle any monsters and then BAM!!! 2 SPIDERS! HOLY CRAP!! AHHH

I’m really here…just really not. This is what happens when your brother introduces you to Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. But to be honest I’ve never been more frustrated with a video game before IN MY LIFE. I swear it takes me like 20 minutes to find an exit, and yesterday out of nowhere one of those huge spiders came outta nowhere from the ceiling and I screamed and jumped and threw the controller and my brother looked at me in disbelief.
Of course after I got up off the floor and stopped panicking I let my brother do that one specific level. I freakin’ hate those damn, ugly spiders. I HATE THEM!!!! If you REALLY wanna see which part I almost had a heart attack and died over, go to 5:30 of this video and VOILA! Just imagine me going crazy. It’s actually pretty funny now that I think of it but watching it on a small little video versus my 26” TV (that I bought HAHAHA woo go me) was a lot different in experience.
